Celebrating the Second Anniversary, Rumah BUMN Rembang Holds the 2022 UMKM Kokoh Festival
Rembang, August 26, 2022 – To celebrate its second anniversary, Rumah BUMN (RB) Rembang under the management of PT Semen Gresik (PTSG) held the UMKM Kokoh Festival (a festival to advance MSMEs) on August 25-26, 2022. It was the largest MSMEs festival in the Rembang Regency, held for two days in the RB Rembang yard.
The CEO of Rumah BUMN Rembang, Yeni Indah Lestari, said that 222 MSME entrepreneurs with a total of 2,222 products participated in this festival. In addition, the festival also comprised various competitions and performances by 22 communities, creative industries, fashion designers, and millennials who had benefited from the presence of RB Rembang.
"The UMKM Kokoh Festival is a form of gratitude and appreciation for the benefits that MSMEs and all stakeholders of Rumah BUMN Rembang partners can get, helping them record transactions worth IDR2 billion in the second year," explained Yeni Indah Lestari in her press statement (8/27).
Another extraordinary achievement, Lestari continued, was RB Rembang's success in sending the best products of the assisted MSMEs to the 2022 Tong Tong Fair in The Hague, Netherlands, in September.
Also present at the event were the Deputy Regent of Rembang, M. Hanies Cholil Barro', and PTSG managements in the discussion session with kopi lelet (signature coffee from Lasem Subdistrict) enthusiasts. The Deputy Regent offered his highest appreciation and support for RB Rembang in organizing activities to encourage the advancement of MSMEs in the Rembang Regency.
"The coffee business in Rembang Regency is getting increasingly active, as evidenced by the increasing number of business entrepreneurs who focus on buying and selling coffee. Hopefully, there will be similar events in the future to stimulate the younger generation to love coffee," said M. Hanies Cholil Barro'.
Meanwhile, the Gunung Kendil batik business owner, Hawien Wilopo, said that with this festival, MSMEs in the Rembang Regency had a space for expression and felt appreciated, especially in the fashion sector.
"We hope the future UMKM Kokoh Festival can be more advanced and lively and be held annually. Thank you, RB Rembang, and happy second birthday. Hopefully, RB Rembang will always be more advanced and prosperous. Hopefully, MSMEs will always work together to grow and become more formidable." He concluded.
